Ok so what you are saying is I can go over the 20hrs limit for a student, to maybe 30hrs.

I have read that after the 2yrs PSW visa, you cannot extend it again, so what I want to know is if there is another visa I could switch to, as I would love to continue living here?

So how does it work? Do you apply and wait for the visa to be granted and then work, or can I work while waiting for the visa, hope this makes sense.

Has anyone switched from Tier 4 student to Tier 1 PSW?
How did you go about it?

Anymore advice is welcomed.

All 4 of us has received our passport, mom is student, me, dad and brother are dependants of mom. They all got their visa apart from me mine was refused.

They still havent got their card though. Does this mean they will get the card when my appeal has gone through?

I still have to pay him £500, but before i hand this over, i am demanding to see my passport. Every time we phone him to ask about something he makes you feel stupid, he makes you feel like you shouldn't ask him anything. He is always saying something that isn't relevant to our situation. Sorry but its true, every year we have had to change lawyer, and majority of them were nigerians, which always seems to want the money first before they do anything.

Thank you, I have checked the list and he is registered, but this is just not fair, if he is a good lawyer he would say bring any amount of money you have, not demanding £1000. I dont know, im just really upset.

So what you are saying is my dad can apply for ILR, Nov 2009 will make it 10yrs in UK, but he was student then became a dependent on my mom.

Mom(student) will also be 10yrs in Feb 2010 and I will be 10yrs in July 2011.

Can we apply? I dont want to be refused.
