Re: Fiktionsbescheinigung to travel, do you need to have expired residence card with you?

Thank you mgb, the thing is my wife will be traveling back alone to join me and she does not have the card anymore. Should we go back to the immigration to demand the card back? The person who did this to us is very incompetent and we are likely to see the same person again. Could you possibly point ...

We renewed the passport and applied for a new card immediately. We were told that to travel yo need the Fiktionsbescheinigung (paragraph 81.4) because ...

Re: Germany Residence Permit Problem; NonEU spouse of EU citizen

We have some savings, how much per month should we show and for how long, do you know? There is no exact definition. I would guess around 12,000 Euro for 1 year for the first shot. Is it true that they are not supposed to ask proof of subsistence from my wife, because she is dependent? And if true ...

Re: Germany Residence Permit Problem; NonEU spouse of EU citizen

If your bank account is filled enough and you have health insurance anyway why not exercise your treaty rights as self-sufficient person. You can play the job seeker card if something goes wrong and you play it against the foreigner office. If you own no proof for your job search you have to ...

Re: Germany Residence Permit Problem; NonEU spouse of EU citizen

I am now reading more and it seems that I, as a EU job seeker do not have to provide proof of subsistence for at least 6 months. However, it seems they want my wife, a nonEU depended, to prove that she is not getting social security payments and essentially proving that she has means to subsist when ...
