Regarding: Notice Period, after recieving new BRP

Hi,

I have recieved my new BRP card for my next company on 11th December 2017.
The issue date of BRP is 7th December 2017.
My question is now can I serve 2 weeks of notice to my current employer or I have to immediately get release.
