For Point 1, is eligibility to stay in UK depended on receiving curtailment letter?

Tier 2 Visa Resignation & Entry to UK

Hello,
I have not received my curtailment letter from HO.
1. Am I allowed to stay in UK legally after 60 days of date of resignation?
2. In absence of curtailment letter - Can i legally enter in UK, if I decide to go out of UK for 10 days...?
