Date of planned arrival -- how many days before -- Start date@CoS

Hi all,
In the tier 2 visa application form I have to fill a '''Date of planned arrival in the UK''. Can I put the date of arrival about a month before the start date mentioned in the CoS?

This will help me in arranging a home and moving before the start of the job.

Regards
Sumit
