Hi Guys,

I am a British Citizen and wanted to know if it is possible to apply for a British passport for my baby born in India while I am in the UK. My wife is an Indian Citizen and both the baby and my wife are currently in India.

Hi doojaga, Firstly I would like to advice you to make the subject more specific as that helps a lot in getting answers. Your son can study there until he is 20 without giving up citizenship as OCI gives you all the rights like to work,study except buying agricultural land, voting, govt jobs etc.

Yes New Delhi is too far for me. I dont understand why these powers are not vested with the FRRO since they have local presence in all the major zones of the country. This is quite inconvenient

thats odd, I thought they only did a 6 months tourist visa or even for an entry visa the maximum period of stay is 6 months after which you need to leave the country. Can you please let us know if there is a maximum duration of stay mentioned on the visa
