Continous abscence from UK

For calculating continuous period in UK via Tier 2 General route.....can I start the calculation from:
1. The date the visa was issued
Or
2. The date you entered in the UK first.

Helpful if you look at the Tier 2 DEPENDENT guidance and not the Tier 2 MAIN guidance as what you have quoted is for main Tier 2 visa holders. Absences prior to 11th January for visas issued before 11th January for PBS Dependent, is not relevant. Thanks,CR001. I think it was my bad, and you are ...
