Re: Should I extend my wife dependant visa or switch to spouse visa?

Thanks again CR001. One last question is what is the minimum year of extension of dependent visa my wife can apply? possible to apply just 2 years only rather than 2.5 or 3 years? thank you. It will be a 3 year extension as stated in the immigration rules. You cannot choose a lesser visa validity ...

Re: Extending Skilled Worker Dependant when main applicant has got British Passport

Thank you, CR001 for your replies. I assume that application fee will encrease to 1500£ when I will put "more that 3 years"? But this will be my 2nd extention (I had a year dependand visa, and later 3 years extention, so 4 years in total). In this case - can I put less then 3 years? I was checking ...

Re: Should I extend my wife dependant visa or switch to spouse visa?

She applies for a 3 year extension as a skilled worker dependent. You can apply at any time. If you switch to a flr m spouse visa, her ilr clock resets to zero and a new 5 year qualifying period so do not do this. If you are british when she gets ilr, yes she can apply for citizenship immediately ...

Re: Does the dependent needs to apply visa when I change employer and change from visa to ILR?

If your wife will not be able to apply for ILR on current visa, she should wait until her current visa is close to expiry and apply for another dependent visa (since you got ILR via Skilled Worker, she can do that). It'll be a 3 year extension. Do not apply for spouse visa - it'll reset her ILR ...
