Hello, for a first UK passport after becoming a citizen do I need a paper form for the ID verification or is it all electronic?

The obvious metaphor of shutting the stable doors after the horses have bolted come to mind. Did the person have their British citizenship by naturalisation? If so, are they carrying their naturalisation certificate with them? Ha yes that's was more or less.my thought. They don't have it with them ...

Sorry it wasn't clear. They've already left the country using an Australian passport.

UK citizens returnimg to UK but no UK passport

What is the best thing to do if you're a UK citizen, Australian by birth, but no UK passport and you've left the UK.
Is there any way to prove your a citizen of it comes up at passport control? Should you own up to your mistake or just re-eter on the Australian passport and hope it's ok?
