Re: 10 Year Long Residence 28 days' rule

Sorry, my question is that, if I counted 28 days according to 22/08/2019, which means that I can apply from 26/07/2019. However, if I counted 28 days according to 9 years 11 months 2 days, which means I can apply from 24/07/2019.

10 Year Long Residence 28 days' rule

UKBA allows applications for the 10 year long residence ILR to be submitted up to 28 days in advance of the qualifying continuous residence period. In my case, I first entered the UK on 22/08/2009, my current visa will be expired on 31/07/2019, I was wondering I can only submit it from 26/07/2019 ...

Re: A question about entering into the UK with DES visa

I heard many cases that the border agency didn't allow the people who were holding the visa which will be expired soon (within three months) to enter into the UK again. So I am just worried about this.

Re: A question about entering into the UK with DES visa

Because my DES visa will be expired after two months and they can see that at the end of July I have been in the UK for ten years. Will it be possible that the UK border agency think about my immigration purpose and not allow me to stay in the UK for the rest two months?

Now I am holding the Doctorate Extension Scheme (DES) visa which will be expired on 31 July 2019. I plan to go to the US to attend an academic conference around the end of May and will stay there for around 11 days, which means I will be back at the beginning of June. I want to inquire that will it ...

Re: Inquiry of the application of permanent residence (10 years)

May I ask one more question regarding to the 180 days. Are these 180 days are calculated for single absence from the UK or for the total absence 'within 12 months' from the UK? Thank you.

Re: Inquiry of the application of permanent residence (10 years)

Thank you for your advice. But after I read the policy from the home office, it says that 'if the applicant's leave expires whilst they are outside the UK and they apply for new entry clearance more than 28 days after their previous leave expires, the continuous period is broken and leave is not ...

Inquiry of the application of permanent residence (10 years)

I have a question regarding the application of permanent residence. I got a Tier 4 visa which is expired on 12/01/2011, and I returned back to China before the expiry date. Since then I applied for another Tier 4 visa around 23 Feb 2011, and the new visa’s start date is from 01/03/2011. According to ...
