Are you applying in or outside the UK? I also got a job with NHS, band 5 and I switched from Tier 4 to Tier 2.

With the new service, you retain all your documents. It will only be scanned and given back to you. I applied to switch as well and still waiting for response. Mine is a standard service application. So it's about 8 weeks.
