Re: Tier 2 dependent visa curtailment

I think a husband cannot cancel a dependant’s visa. Only UKVI can do that. If they cancel a dependant wife’s visa, then it’s likely that they will also cancel any children’s dependant visas, unless the children continue to satisfy the Requirements.

A Consular Birth Certificate may also require an English translation of the original birth certificate?

It may be a waste of money.

Extend as if a dependant of a health care worker holder.

I suspect he continues to be exempt from IHS fees.

Re: ILR for baby born in UK

Hi TechITLondon, I have somewhat similar requirement. I do not want to get child's citizenship and I am under an impression that I can apply for my Child's ILR after I get my own ILR and in my case my child is born in UK and before my ILR. I am eligible for ILR in June 2025. I have not applied for ...

Re: ILR for baby born in UK

Thanks both of you for taking time to reply my post. I will let you know the outcome for my child ILR application using SET(F) form. As previously stated, if child was born in the UK after a parent has ILR, then child is automatically British and cannot be granted leave. Request a refund of all ...

If his mother had ILR or was a British citizen when he first applied for his child entry clearance to join her, then they should have granted him ILE.

Return before expiry of leave. Keep returning to the UK during holidays from study. Don’t spend more than 2 continuous years outside the UK.

Risky, if travelling.

If you make an application, then they should refund IHS fees for an overlapping period.

Should he have used the SET(O) application instead, selecting the Tier 2 option and then the Tier 2 Skilled Person Dependant category?
Yes.

Don’t withdraw.

Vary the incorrect SET(M) application to SET(O) and inform the caseworker.

Your family members
Your partner and children can apply separately at a later date, for example if they’re not eligible yet. They can continue to extend their visa as your tier 1 dependant, even after you get indefinite leave to remain.

If there was a cancellation date, then it’s safest for them to extend prior to that date.
