Re: Residency proof and fixed penalty notice

I have 5 outside trips in last 5 years and have only 2 UK entry stamps on my passport which i think is not enough. Missing stamps on the passport are not an issue. Scanned pages will work. UKVI know that an applicant can have missing passport stamps. You manually input all your trips/absences on ...

Re: Clarification on Global Talent Visa Endorsement, Impact of Job Change on Endorsement

If I were to leave my current research role and switch to another job within the broader field of Dentistry - such as a non-research position or a clinical position - would this affect my eligibility at the settlement stage (ILR)? No, it doesn't affect anything. For ILR under the GTV route, you ...

Re: Guidance on GTV-Dependent Visa Extension Amid ILR Application

Given that I am applying for ILR, is it appropriate to select GTV as the main applicant's visa category in the dependent visa forms? Yes, that's correct. If selecting GTV is correct, what expiry date should I provide for my visa in the IHS section? Should I use a tentative expiry date (e.g ...

Re: Passport - Naturalisation appointment

That's not an issue at all. I didn't have my passport stamped every single time I re-entered the UK and my application was approved. Between ILR and naturalisation I travelled quite often and only got one stamp from UK border officers, they simply scanned and gave me back the passport, still don't ...

Re: Passport - Naturalisation appointment

The passport will not be retained during the biometrics appointment, it will be given back to you. You don't need P60s or employer letters for this application. The same form is saying what you need: have read the following on my document checklist: If you are a Non-EEA National. You need to include ...

Re: eVisa status update after naturalisation

If can't postpone the trip and have the flexibility to travel soon and return by/before 31-12-2024, then the BRP card should be enough for the carrier's staff to allow you boarding the flight back. The eVisa status will be less relevant. This is not precisely the best thing to do but we don't know ...

Re: queries British nationality

That letter should be ok, remember to sign and date it.

Also make reference in the letter that the name(s) and surname(s) in the passport of your country of origin and the naturalisation certificate are the same.

HMPO should proceed accordingly.

According to other members' experience, it seems TLS keeps the same timeframe for documents upload, so it's reasonable to think one can upload documents up to 48 h before the appointment. The documents (originals) you mentioned are the only required during the appointment, no need to take hard ...

With a Global Talent visa you can do any job except those specified in the approval letter. It's possible to even be self-employed. The endorsement will not be withdrawn when changing jobs. Many do this without any issues, some cases are shown in others posts on this sub-forum. Realistically I think ...

No need to be anxious about that, and no need to spend money that you don't have in a solicitor either.

A speed awareness course is not a recordable motoring offence. The same letter you received when this occurred says so.

Re: ILR Eligibility & Continous Period Calculation

You can register to view your eVisa at any time.

It's not mandatory to have an eVisa before a decision on a new application, that requirement doesn't exist. The persons eVisa should be automatically updated with every new status, that's one of the purposes of this electronic system.

Re: Impact of verbal warning for minor traffic offence

You don't need to declare any of those, as advised it won't affect the decision.

No need to include any cover letter. The application for naturalisation is very simple and straightforward.

Hiring a solicitor for this is a waste of money, but that's your choice I guess.

Re: UK Passport Application - After Naturalisation

Slightly off topic, but do BRP cards still need to be returned upon obtaining British Citizenship? The approval email from the Home Office says that any BRP card should be returned after receiving the certificate of British citizenship, it will no longer be valid. The card expiry date is irrelevant.

Re: BRP Card Expiring - do I need to extend it

The BRP is still valid until the expiry date, it can be used to register for an eVisa before or by that date.

New BRPs will not be issued anymore.

Also the invite to register for an eVisa is no longer required, every BRP card holder can now register.
