Re: Update on GTV ILR Question

she did not switch from her Skilled Worker Dependent to GTV Dependant That's not an issue. You can apply for ILR with a valid SW dependant visa if the lead applicant was a GTV holder - provided you meet all the other requirements. It's not a requirement for a dependant partner to be in the same vis...

You need to report this to the University's international admission office.

The University should have checked all your documents when enrolled upon arrival. If you have any issues with them they should assist you on addressing the issues and what to do.

That member has not posted since March.

I'm not sure what's your concern, GTV dependants can combine time as dependants on any other type of visa for ILR, that's covered in the immigration rules as advised by @zimba.

I still don't understand why you decided to apply for naturalisation from abroad. In any case, it seems you're forgetting one aspect of the application and that's the future intentions. See the Naturalisation booklet page 17 Future intentions If you are applying under the 5-year route (section 6(1))...

Re: Naturalisation application - passport upload

Chelmsford is not too far from London, you might need to have a look at UKVCAS centres in the city. Usually there are paid slots available e.g. at Mark Lane.

For free slots you need to be more persistent... and lucky.

Yes, leave everything as it stands now. That shouldn't be an issue.

Re: GTV endorsement status for extension

The only way to know this is by contacting the endorsing body, but they should have informed you about any withdrawal. If you're still working in the role that you were endorsed for and you haven't received any communication in this regard, I think it's safe to assume that the endorsement is still v...

But, based on the timelines I was kinda hoping we'd be in the batch last week. It's understandable to be impatient when waiting for a response from an application, but according to the timeline you posted on the dedicated post, you're still within the average time for others to receive a response. ...

Re: British Citizenship ceremony photography

Every council is different, but usually people are allowed to take photographs after the ceremony. There might be others that don't.

The photos taken by the photographer are optional, there is no obligation to buy their photos.

In case you don't have yet this in the packet, also include a copy of the tenancy agreement, property deed or mortgage certificate, depending on your circumstances. Officers may randomly ask for that. Plain and straight answers to their questions, without elaborating unless requested. Most of the ti...

The refusal letter indicates that you basically didn't provide any financial or family evidence to demonstrate your ties outside the UK. Was it a mistake?

Who submitted this application? yourself or your family in the UK?

From a previous post, it seems you already travelled abroad with an expired BRP and had no issues when boarding a flight back to the UK. As Canadian citizens are non-visa nationals, they shouldn't face issues to travel to the UK. The advice from UKVI about carrying a physical valid BRP when travel i...

That shouldn't be an issue, wait for the response from UKVI.

Unsure how you forgot to submit the application when you have to do biometrics after submission. The application will not be processed until you provide that information.

Re: How will an e-visa be validated when traveling back to the UK?

This question doesn't have a simple response. I'd think there are many factors that can prevent someone to show a valid status when travelling. From a UKVI perspective, we only can expect them to provide everyone - with a BRP - access to an eVisa from 1st January 2025. I agree with @secret.simon. If...

That shouldn't be an issue, the decision would still be made in accordance with the application timeframes given. The dates we provide during the application are somehow indicative, it doesn't mean that the applicant must travel on those dates only, UKVI shouldn't reject if the date has passed. Once...

The text you cited clearly says so: your existing immigration permission, including the right to work, continues under Section 3C of the Immigration Act 1971 In the UK a Skilled Worker visa...
