Will applying for ILR affect a pending MN1 (Section 3(1)) citizenship application for a child?

Dear Moderators and Forum Members, I am asking this on behalf of a friend. I’m seeking urgent clarification on how an ILR application might interact with an MN1 application submitted under Section 3(1) — i.e., a discretionary registration of a child as a British citizen by the Home Secretary. Co ...

1. Just list the first country.

2. You do NOT have to submit all sorts of bills and rental. Full passport with stamps only.

3. Fine.

4. You don't have to specify anything about which one is which.
Thank you, @CR001. As always, your guidance is invaluable.

If you get the SELT before you attend biometrics appointment, take it along for upload by UKVCAS staff.
Thanks @AmazonianX

To be fair the UKVCAS website is quite flexible. Allows all applicants to upload new documents (on the portal) till your biometric appointment - so all good there :)

I do not see an issue. UKVI often gives applicants an opportunity to provide the English language evidence

Thats if you get the chance to change it else you wait for CW to request for it. Ordinarily, all supporting documents for your application supposed to be dated before your application date.
Thank you @AmazonianX. Won't get a chance to change it (unless they can do it at the ...

Re: English proficiency - is it possible to change Ecctis letter to SELT certificate - after ILR application submission?

Any acceptable evidence can be used. You should have gone through SELT route initially as that much is faster and easier Thank you @zimba. In hindsight I agree, I should have just gone for SELT. A follow-up on your input. Just reconfirming that I can submit SELT - even though the ILR application ...

Re: Extention of GTV dependant visa

Should the dependant applicant's renewal be for 2 years or 3 years? Should the visa valid date start from or ...

Yes you understood correctly and it works. In this case the date of the decision will be beneficial to the applicant hence that's what will be used.
Thank you @AmazonianX. This is a really helpful input and this interpretation will benefit many community users

FYI The date of your application is not used to determine eligibility: How to apply early and benefit from the date of the ILR decision ? Thank you @zimba I read the forum(s) you tagged - very informative. I have a query though. The specific case in that thread was about an application variation ...

This is not an immigration related query, which is all this forum is for.

Please find a tax forum to ask the queation or contact hmrc for advise or speak to your accountant.
Fair enough. Apologies for spamming. Thank you for the advice.

Advice on extra tax liability for GTV dependent working spouse who also got paid dividends from a different entity

Hello moderators, Needed some guidance. My Global Talent Visa dependent spouse is a salaried employee in one entity and also a shareholder in the company I founded. Recently she’s got dividends issued. So naturally we'll have to ‘add’ this amount to her total taxable income and pay taxes accordingly. ...

Re: Does time spend on the Student visa count for a dependent on the 5-year route?

The start of the qualifying period for your dependent is 9th December 2018. The 'date of decision' you are referencing, is the date of ILR decision, not the date of entry clearance decision. The paragraph you quote clearly states 'You must count backwards from whichever of the following is most ...

Re: Does time spend on the Student visa count for a dependent on the 5-year route?

It's not clear to me the first dependant visa issue date. I only can say that it was issued between 25 Oct 2018 and 16 Dec 2018. It seems OP is considering the date of arrival and not the visa issue date for the qualifying period, or am I wrong? I also could think of applying for ILR - using ...

Re: Does time spend on the Student visa count for a dependent on the 5-year route?

One approach I have seen advised on these forums (though I have no personal experience of it myself) is to apply for an extension of the current visa (Global Talent visa) and pay the fees and IHS before the current visa expires, so a day or two before 17th September (and it must be before the date ...
