Grandmother to accompany grandson to UK to start school

Hi all,

China is not currently processing visitor visas. We need to get our son over here to start school in September.
Is there a UK visa category for a family member to accompany a student to the UK. He will be 12 in August.

Many thanks.

Re: Spouse Visa - travel to Europe

I'm getting conflicting advice on this.

We are only flying to the airport to meet our son in the International Zone. We will not leave the airport and will return home to London on the same day.

Hi

I am a UK citizen and my wife has a UK Spouse visa. Does she have the same travel rights as me for travel in Europe?

Many thanks

Delay in receiving decision

Hi - I have received emails from VFS today stating that our application has been completed but UKVI are saying we can't find out what the decision is until the letter has been sent which could take another 10 working days. Can decisions be changed inbetween the application being completed and the ...

UKVI 0300 790 6268 "ADVICE" LINE

I have called this number 5 times this week, each time I have had over an hour of waiting only to be disconnected, without speaking to anyone. On at least two of those calls, I was charged money (you have to enter you card details). I have called them before this week and the wait times have been ...

Can I make two visa applications at the same time

Hi We have applied for a settlement visa for our son. His mother has a current Spouse visa - awarded in April this year. We paid for the priority route but have been told that it's a not straightforward application and therefore has gone over the 30 working day target time. We also have the option ...

Getting information on progress

Hi, does anyone know if there is any way of finding out up to date information of how an application is progressing at the UKVI? Early last month we paid for a Priority Service (out of country) Dependant visa for our son to join us from China, here in the UK. His mother, my wife, has recently ...

Re: Complex situation - no clue what to do

Thanks for this - from what I can make out we need to see what is going to happen after the current deadline on 31st January. If we assume it will be a further extension then it looks like we'll need to apply for a Fiance visa from here in the UK. That's annoying as there is a chance we would be ...

Complex situation - no clue what to do

hello My fiancee arrived here in UK on a Marriage Visitor Visa at the end of November last year (2020). We had planned to marry on January 16th and she was to then return to China to apply for a Spouse visa for her and to include her 12 year old son. The wedding has been cancelled due to our region ...
