Cost of UK Visitor visa for spouse of EU national

Hello, I am married to a Slovak citizen and live in Bratislava. I have been to the UK 3 times in the last 4 years, mostly for concerts. Application fee was about 100 EUR, which is expensive, but OK, the visa is for 6 months and multiple entries. So today I was applying for a new visitor visa because ...

Hello guys, No news about the decision of my visa yet, and I don't think they will call me tomorrow to tell me it's ready. I called to my embassy (the peruvian embassy) and they told me if they issued a new passport, the other one (the one currently in the british embassy) won't be valid any longer ...

I just called the embassy and they confirmed I will lose the money I payed if I ask for my passport back. So now I have only two options 1) change my flight date or 2) try to travel only with my resident permit. This is normally OK when you go by bus, but in airports they use to check your passport ...

You may request the return of your passport. However, if your UK visitor visa has not yet been decided, then your application will be treated as abandoned. I just applied for the UK visa yesterday and I payed the 90 EUR fee. Does anyone went through something similar? My only fear is to lost the ...

My passport is in the UK embassy, but I need to travel!

hello! I want to travel to London next november and since I am Peruvian, I do need a tourist visa. I am currently a legal resident in Slovakia. Re: New EU (Schengen) Visa Code will apply from 5 April 2010

EU Press release >here< BBC news Article >here< I hear someone saying that with this new rule, national visas (visas valid only for "Spain", for instance) can be used now in the whole Schengen Area. Is this true or does someone need always a visa stating "Schengen States" to travel freely?

Re: exercising free movement right , eea spous visa from pak

You're a british citizen married to a pakistani girl.

You both want to go to France for 1 month.

She has to go to the french embassy in Pakistan and request a Schengen visa. As she's your wife, the schengen visa should be issued for free and she shouldn't have problems to get it.

Cheers

The Slovak Embassy in Paris gave me a Schengen visa valid for 90 days starting 2nd october (my french resident permit expired 1st October), so now I am back in Slovakia. So yes, Schengen Visa issued in the Schengen Area is possible, althought probably some other EU countries won't help with that.

There is another thread about the non-EU wife of a UK citizen who tried to get a Swiss visa in Austria. She was told she did not need it, and they refused to issue it. I see. I think this case is a bit different because my wife is slovak (so schengen area), while UK is non-schengen. I will update ...

Thanks for your answer. Have you heard of people getting the schengen visa while in the schengen area? I wonder if the embassy will advice me to quit the schengen area ...

Coming back to europe before 90 days

I know a tourist can not stay more than 90 days within 180 days in the Schengen area. However, what about a person who had a resident permit for 2 years, go back to his home town and appply for a schengen visa for three months. Can he back as soon as he get the visa to europe, let's say for example ...
