@ la_donga I think you have covered everything as best as you can. I was also worried about a lot of things; if I needed more documents to submit. In the end I just had to trust that I had done my best and be positive. I also had a couple of years I did not have enough records for. I had to get a ...

Fantastic News

Dear All I am absolutely glad to inform you all that I received my ILR on the 8th of this month. Been absolutely ecstatic, and busy partying so sorry for the late feed back. It was a real shock to get the news. I was ready for a 6 months at least, but it took just less than 2 months . So I'm ...

Re: news, good/bad

@ chorc123 I'm confused and you have left me scratching my head. Is the £2700 you are owing part of the £4500 he initially quoted? Quoting kiwigirl from the first page of this thread - "A good OICS qualified solicitor would never withhold a clients passport or visa documents. It's unlawful!!" I won ...

With regards to solicitor, Have you tried getting legal aid? It is a route you can explore and see if you qualify (if your main financial provider has legal residence and not earning too much... then you can apply through them). Because like kiwigirl says, it does help. I got my medical record by ...

Thanks for the reply. I approached non-profit organisations, hence the legal aid option. Even though some were asking for money and one guy told me " well if you need to get; one, two or three thousand pounds you will and can get it if you have to can't you" I told him it was simple impossible in my ...

I have approached a non profit immigration advisory about my application, they are talking about legal aid ( chorc123 you mentioned about having not been informed about this). Does anyone know if this will affect my 14 Years Long Residence application. Will it be classified as resorting to public ...

Your contribution will be much appreciated

Does illegal entry necessarily jeopardize your 14 years ILR application. Even if you entered as a minor (15 years old). I'm about to make an application and this is the only point of contention. I have no criminal record, and have proof for all the years of residence. I have close family and spousal ...

Using you MP is the best way to contact the HO and try get them to speed up your application. As you have ...

Absolutely not fair. Please consider this situation; If an illegal entrant was thinking of leaving voluntarily at his own expence but for the purpose of applying at the home country for Entry clearance as spouse of a UK citizen. Does the ban still apply. the ban seems it can be anything from 1-5 ...

Its ILR.
Guess i am running out of options. Seriously considering parking up an leaving. Feel like a peasant waiting for scrap at the landlords gate.
Might as well check out whats available across the shores.
Change i guess is sometimes inevitable.

she definately not an overstayer. She just refuses to get a british passport. call it pride. Her reply is why does she need to be british when she is jamiacan. and she doesn't do holidays really(so cannot appreciate what it is to have a british passport), she is a extreme introvert.

My Girlfriend is Jamaican at the moment but she has had Full Immigration status for 16 years so she can readily apply and become British national.
We have lived together for 4 years, but this is hard to prove because i do not recieve any correspondence at her addresse.

Indefinite Leave to Remain Based on Compassionate Reason

My Nationality is Nigerian and I've been living in the UK For almost 13 years ( I am 27 years old now). I'm an Undocumented Immigrant. This was initially because the HO turned down my application then to join my mother. (application and denial reason unknown) She needed me to come help her take care ...
