Should I expect to be another 3 to 4 weeks for an outcome to be confirmed?
When I had to submit a second form of photo ID when applying after naturalisation (despite the form claiming I only needed one) then my application went back to to the start of the queue and I had to wait another 4+ weeks

Re: How long does it take to get the first time passport application?

So if you're applying as an Irish resident will the driver's licence of the UK or any other country do as the second form of photo ID (certified copy by the Gardai)? Or does the second ID have to be an Irish government ID? I don't think you'll have a problem. You're a citizen now, it's not the job ...

Re: Italian Citizenship by descent

Firstly, you've probably missed your chance, as the right wing populist Italian government is changing the rules https://archive.ph/G2w9e If that doesn't happen or is overruled as unconstitutional by courts, then: If anyone in your line of descent was born to a mother before 1948, you'd have to ...

Re: How long does it take to get the first time passport application?

I am curious. Does anyone have a sense of what percentage of first time applicant witnesses get a call? Having spoken to people who've witnessed quite a few applications, I think the answer is 100% or close to it. Similarly what percentage have to resubmit a new witness form? No idea. Make sure you ...

Re: Naturalization Information

Did you mean to post this to the Ireland section of the forum?

You only mention UK Visas, visits to the UK, and UK ILR. Are you intending to apply from Northern Ireland to naturalise as an Irish citizen as the spouse of an Irish citizen, or have you posted to the wrong part of the forum?

Re: more than 70 days outside Ireland

So, you have to have been continuously resident in Ireland with less than 70 days spent outside the country for exactly 1 year immediately before you apply. In addition to this you have to have been in Ireland for 4 out of the previous 8 years. You can typically be absent for 6 weeks in any year in ...

No, you can move abroad and keep your Irish citizenship. Re: Citizenship certification fee for Irish spouse

The fee is €950 if the Irish Spouse is alive.

The €200 fee is only for Widow, Widower or Surviving Civil Partner of an Irish citizen.

This means that the €200 is only for people whose Irish Spouse or Civil Partner has died.

Has anyone been asked for additional documents AFTER their estimated issue date? Ours has come and gone. We’re still stuck on Processing but have had no email to indicate there’s a problem.
