Realistically speaking, how risky is it to resign before submitting new skilled worker visa application?

As title said, currently having a 3 months notice period I intend to serve. Is it a risky move to resign? New company is in the process of preparing visa submission at the moment.

Has anyone ever had any problem with CoS/contract retracted this way?
