Hello Everyone, Did anyone receive his or her naturalisation cert last or this week?. I'm afraid the INIS claim of 3 months waiting time will be breached as usual but the fact they acknowledged the delay may be a positive thing this time! On another note, I'd appreciate it if someone can tell me if ...

Congrats to all those who got their certs recently..I'm in my 11th week now..still waiting..Is there anyone who applied in mid-November and got his cert recently?.. On another front, and perhaps same as Jacky's question. Do you need your original birth cert to be submitted to get the passport or ...

Are you really Irish?

I know many people are embroiled in immigration dilemmas every day, but this topic is meant for those who waited (for so long) to be Irish and I'm one of them. Those who are married to Irish citizens and were born elsewhere or those stayed long enough here to be Irish. If you'd meet someone and he ...

No worries Jacky, you're grand .. I'm fed-up with this government .. now they've EUR 950 in their hands and they've our GNIBs. We're here again waiting for their certificate .. Now I understand the minister has to sign it himself and surely he has tons of other things to do and documents to sign ...

Thanks realgunner for your reply. I was actually asking about the time after approval when you submit your oath document, GNIB to receiver the naturalisation certificate. It seems we are pushing the 8 weeks delay in receiving this. Anyone received the cert in less time in the last few months? Thanks ...

Hello Jacky,

Did you receive your naturalisation cert?. Any update from people who are still waiting on the cert? We started with a 4 week waiting period, then 5 weeks, then 6 weeks and we're standing at 7 weeks pushing the delay further. Any update will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks very much for your reply, jhbmike. Do you mind me asking you if you applied with your new address for the passport shortly afterwards and if that was ok?. I mean there's probably a small gap of time between issuing the certificate with the old address and sending the passport application with ...

Thanks crown. Another question folks, not sure if anyone has been in a similar position. I'm planning to relocate to a new house. Does it make any difference if I change my address while waiting for the certifcate?, i.e, I'll fill in form 7 with my current address but I'm expecting to relocate in ...

I'm one of the infamous group of 06 applicants. I'm now heading to the 42nd month in waiting. After letters to the INIS, TD, the minister of Justice by myself and other entities, I'm still getting the same rubbish standard replies from officials at the INIS with the likes of "...a privilidge and not ...

Re: INIS Requests

My friend just received a letter from the INIS requesting for the following 1. A copy of your Notice of Assessment for last yr 2008. 2. A copy of your current Tax Clearance Certificate. 3. A copy of your current Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB) card. ! A notice of assesment is issued when ...

Guys, Another question..Do you think a change of address after the Garda and Social Welfare checks were done can further delay whatever they call "final processing stage"?. I'm thinking of moving to a new apartment and I'm not sure if the INIS will try to redo any of their checks as a result or ...

I'm also one of the 06'ers. As I indicated a couple of weeks ago, I sent a letter to the ICI and I was not expecting much really. I also sent a couple of letters to my TD over the course of this and last year and believe it or not he is actually giving the same standard replies as the INIS of the ...

Hello all, Just to let you know that I've sent a letter to the Immigration Council of Ireland complaining about the appalling delay in making a decision on applications for naturalisation pending for over 36months. Did anyone on this forum think of doing the same?. I remind you that the more the ...

Once More ..

Congrats is in order for all of those "lucky" 2006 applicants. Unfortunately I'm one of the "unlucky" ones who applied in 2006. I'm still WFOA as a lot of others here on this forum. I've tried most of the avenues and failed but haven't given up yet. Remember that it wasn't long ago that people in ...

Our lives are at stake!

Couldn't agree more opengl. I think everyone of us is utterly disgusted at this lengthy process. It's not that I wait for an approval. I need a decision. I feel I'm in a quandary. I ask myself "What if the application wasn't approved?". This means Ireland doesn't need me although I chose it as a ...

My apologies .. it seems my post was submitted over and over again for some bizzare reason! Great work by the way scrudu. It'd be helpful to actually add an LTR entry and the date granted to see if there's any correlation between the naturalisation approval and having an LTR. I doubt it makes a ...
