The government issued a "White Paper", a basis for discussion and evaluation, and eventually for changing some regulation. You have to send your original foreign passport with your British passport application. It will be sent back you. is there a timeframe this has to be done by or can I take as long as I want after ceremony? You lose your Indian citizenship when you become British. UK Passport is not compulsory, you can apply anytime once you are British. is that the stamp from when I first entered UK on spouse visa which will now obviously have expired? I have no other stamps from renewal visa/ILR. what to do with indian passport after getting UK citizenship?

Do I have to give indian passport back in certain time after getting UK citizenship? Or can I hold onto it till I get British passport?

Is it possible to keep hold of it even once I got British passport?

Evisa and linking passport

My BRP expires on December 31st 2024 and I have indefinite leave to remain.

Have created evisa and able to check immigration status. My linked document shows as my BRP.

Should I also link my passport although my passport does not have immigration in it apart from when I first entered UK vignette?

There is no specific requirement. It should be good It did say requirement of 6 letters to be provided in the name of both or double if individual - spread evenly over 2.5 years which is what I have tried to do. So every 3 months or so from October'23 working backwards. just thought will run it ...

Hi all. Just an update.

After 129 pages on this thread, finally had appointment for super priority this morning. Biometrics done this morning and ILR ACCEPTANCE came through today 1 hr back.

You are really overthinking this entire process. You upload what is relevant to you. If you do not have a previous passport, simply ignore that. No need to upload the current passport again.
