Re: How long does it take to get the first time passport application?

It's been despatched. Hallelujah. Thanks to everyone for holding my hand through this rather fraught time. And best of luck to anyone who's still waiting. I assumed all of us had been asked for a 2nd photo ID but Leo on another thread has just told him he was only asked to submit one ID. Weirder ...

Re: How long does it take to get the first time passport application?

I am waiting for the return of supporting documents, can someone confirm if I will receive another AN POST tracking number for this or they will just simply post it as a normal package? Thank you. I've got all the docs back except for the additional one that they asked for today, and my status has ...

Re: How long does it take to get the first time passport application?

Great news. My status just changed to printing, hopefully it will arrive next Monday. Thanks god they are not asking for additional supporting documents. Good luck to you! Not so for me though. As I was expecting, they’ve asked for additional documents today. 🤷🏻‍♂️ What documents did they ask? The o ...

Re: How long does it take to get the first time passport application?

Same for me as well. Submitted on 23 Aug, documents received the next day. Expected delivery date is 23 Sep. Status updated to “being processed” since yesterday. Finally, I can almost see the end for this whole long ordeal that is Naturalisation! 🤞 Don't be happy so early, I read that they can still ...

Re: How long does it take to get the first time passport application?

May I ask do we need to sign for the post (for the passports and the original documents, an passport card) when they get delivered? For the passport and passport card they don't require a signature. Not sure about the original documents: I haven't got them yet. Thank you! My status is still at the ...

Re: June 2024 Citizenship Ceremonies naturalisation certificates

Seems like it's just us in the 21st June cohort who are still yet to get our certificates. I applied in Nov 2023 using the online system, so pretty sure mine will be at the bottom of the post pile, which I really can't complain about given there are 2022 applicants here. 🤓 I attended the 11th June c ...

Great news, everyone — I just received my certificate and couldn’t resist giving the postman a big hug! I attended the June 20th ceremony, and although I was following the discussions here with no hope of receiving anything soon, and since I already have another EU passport, I wasn’t in a hurry to g ...

I live outside Dublin, when I got my new passport I needed to make an appointment with my local immigration office and have them put new stamp on it. They'll also update my new passport details on their system.

Passport issuing country is your nationality country, not the country it was physically issued in, like UK/London.
