Re: Long Term Residency and IRP card

And it seems i can only make an application to renew my IRP 3 months prior to expiry date, which is June 2026 to me. Why would you think that? Hi Myself2, this website https://www.irishimmigration.ie/registering-your-immigration-permission/how-to-renew-your-current-permission/registration-renewal ...

Re: Long Term Residency and IRP card

You'd have to call your station (or even walk in if all else fails), I'm afraid. Thank you! But as I live in Dublin / Kildare / Meath / Wicklow area so you can't just walk in there :( I do have some appointments there for other people (I just go with them to help out), so I might try to take ...

Re: Long Term Residency and IRP card

You pay 500 euro for a successful LTR application and it will be valid for the rest of your life (assuming you have regular income, you are not a burden to the state and you have not committed any serious crime). You then pay 300 euro for a successful IRP registration - this should be valid for 5 ...

Re: Long Term Residency and IRP card

I swear I have read somewhere that Long Term Residency does not care how long your passport is valid, they just give you 5 years, then if your passport expires before that, it is enough you just communicate it once you renew it...Not sure if it is true, anyway I will keep you guys updated if the ...

Stamp 4 renewal with passport less than 1year

Hi, I am currently holding a stamp 4 which obtained from critical skill work permit. Normally i renew stamp 4 every 2 years. I am due to renew in late May 2024 but my passport will be expired in late March 2025. In this case, how long they will give me? I am extremely worried because i need to renew ...

Re: Long Term Residency and IRP card

How long is your passport in date for? If your passport expires next year that is probably the reason. I got my last IRP card in 2017 and am pretty sure it is valid until 2027 as I had just renewed my passport. I know Stamp 5 lasts as long as your passport, does it also apply to long term residency ...

I would like to hear the answer too. By the way, is the RT reference number same every year? I requested a RTB letter for 2024 a few days ago and they sent me a letter saying 'this letter is to confirm your landlord has registered you since 1st Jan 2023' and the RT reference number was something ...

Re: Proof of residency - no type A

The utility bills, rent agreement, mortgage etc will never come off the list- they are the gold standard for documents. If you have utility bills you’ll be fine. Realistically the affidavit will exist, but the assumption is that the list of acceptable uses will tighten up to genuinely unavoidable i ...

Re: Proof of residency - no type A

The requirement for what is now called type A has been around for two years and even before that era were listed as example proofs. Eyeballing ISD responses to proof gaps, especially type A, looks like they were reasonably lenient in 2022, and getting stricter (ie rejecting) in 2023 especially if ...

Re: Does VDP and VDC from AIB statement can be recignized as POS transactions?

Visa continuity is different to physical presence continuity. Your first 1460 days (4*365) can be accumulated in Pieces over 8 years- for stamps or for physical residency. There can be breaks. So the most conservative view of your first year is that (as long as you were physically present) you ...

Yes Hi Vadrar, I checked my AIB bank statement again, and i noticed all the payments i made during holidays in other EU countries were also marked as VDP. If they want to use bank statement as a proof of staying in Ireland, how do they distinguish these payments? Besides the bank statements, i have ...

Re: Type B Proof for Rent-a-room

If your residential documents don’t show continuity across the 5 years they can ask for more documents or reject the application. But they can also just decide to approve. Only the reviewing officer can know what they will decide. It isn’t ideal, and does risk rejection, if that’s what you mean by a ...

Does VDP and VDC from AIB statement can be recignized as POS transactions?

Hi,

I have looked my bank statement from AIB and i saw VDP and VDC there: VDP is a Point of Sale transaction using your Visa Debit card, VDC is visa debit contactless. Are they both recognized as POS transation?

Thank you!
