20th June ceremony / certificate arrived in Derry today. 25 months in total. Good luck to those waiting. I note that the certificate is not embossed and does not contain a hologram or other embellishment, despite it taking so long. I do hope that the process will be streamlined for future applicants.
Out of interest, anyone in Northern Ireland out there? We’re in France but my husband’s certificate is being delivered to my old ma’s address, c/o. I don’t suppose she’ll hear the bell if the postman comes looking for a signature. In which case presumably there’ll be a slip of paper, telling her to ...
Of course an NI address has to be fine, if that is the basis for the application; ie spouse and living on the island of Ireland. However technically shipping between NI and Ireland is an international postal service. What an non-sensical, worrying email to receive.
Personally I find a regular post super helpful! Coz otherwise just sitting wondering - and mainly worried that once people get the cert through you'll forget about the rest of us still waiting
Those were long waits indeed - really pleased for you both! Don't know if my husband will make it as fee only processed last month, but we'll know soon:) We are also in NI:)
Hi. Do you think that they have even sent out all the invitations for Killarney yet? I have only seen people mentioning 10th June here. Has anyone been invited to a ceremony on the 11th?
