Has anyone who applied in 2024 already received an approval letter?
Big batch of approval letters sent out yesterday are arriving to people today, including many who applied in 2024.

Re: List of documents for Naturalisation

"Please do not submit more than the required proofs – if we need more information we will contact you." It looks like you've submitted way more than they need even though they specifically say not to do that. No, you only need to provide what they ask for. If they need anything else they will reach ...

Hi, I just found this recently published article linked below. It is very unfortunate to see that citizenship office use the Background religion as a factor when processing applications... background religion is not what we can choose... Re: EEA citizen living in Ireland and working in NI - Irish citizenship?

Either way, the constitution claimed the full 32 counties until 1999. If it's not explicit then it's very much a grey area and the Irish Government are keen to keep it very grey. I would check with INIS, but I don't see your working in Ireland and being normally resident in Ireland causing a problem ...

Re: EEA citizen living in Ireland and working in NI - Irish citizenship?

It is residency in Ireland that is reckonable. That is the whole island. The Irish Nationality and Citizenship Act 1956 refers to residence in the island of Ireland. (15A) Also, you have to remember that legally speaking Ireland didn't accept the existence of Northern Ireland until 1999 so a ...

Re: Father guardianship

I expect you made the Citizenship application on behalf of your daughter, so in essence you provided a digital signature that you are her direct parent and therefore her guardian. If her birth certificate names you as the father, there is no further proof needed. You will need to send her original ...

Re: Father guardianship

Does anyone have any knowledge on this topic? You and the mother need to fill out statutory declaration (SI 210 of 2020) in the presence of a Peace Commissioner or a Commissioner for Oaths. It's as simple as that. The declaration is available at: https://www.irishstatutebook.ie/eli/2020/si/210/made ...

But what Type A document can I use for 2024 (January - July)?
I took it to mean complete year periods, i.e. you should submit proofs for 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023. If they really need something for 2024 they'll contact you.

I believe it's just one bill.
