First British passport after naturalisation but born in the UK

Hey, I didn't think I'd be posting so soon, but this process has really frazzled my brain and my critical thinking abilities. I was born in the UK but recently received my naturalisation certificate and was given guidance on applying for my first British passport. I've searched this forum and Reddit ...

Re: Naturalisation enquiry - previous applications

[/quote] Do I have to go through registration or if I go through naturalisation with the ILR. You can do either. You have options. It won't matter which you choose, as long as you have the evidence to go along with it. Great, thank you for confirming & helping. You can apply for naturalisation, you ...

Re: Naturalisation enquiry - previous applications

You can apply for naturalisation, you have to prove your last 5 years of residence, language, ILR, life in the UK, and good character, if you can't retrieve documents from your first 7 years of life. doubt citizen advice can help unfortunately. Makes sense, I'll go through the naturalisation route ...

Re: Naturalisation enquiry - previous applications

Do I have to go through registration or if I go through naturalisation with the ILR (seeing as I've already passed the test + can prove that I have knowledge of the English language via a degree), will they ask for this information? I only ask as we were homeless for a brief period so I've lost a ...

Yes, you're like me (except for the ILR). Use Form T instead. This way, you don't need to do the life in the UK test or an English test. It is also a bit cheaper.
Aw man, I wish I knew this before I took the test last year, now I'm trying to find evidence of my existence from the ages of 1-7 lol.

You will need your passport(s) covering your first 10 years and/or letters from your GP, schools, etc to prove you were living in the UK as a child.
Oh, you've made me realise that I'm filling out the wrong form. I'll do this and fill out the right one this time - thank you!

Quick question..did you live in the UK the entire time until you were 10? If you did take trips abroad, were these kept to a minimum?
I've lived in the UK my entire life and have never left the UK, so no absences.

Re: Naturalisation enquiry - previous applications

Hi everyone, I'm currently filling out the Naturalisation form online and I've searched high and low (but apologies if this has been answered before). I was born in the UK but my parents weren't settled at the time & I got my ILR when I was 9(ish) years old, under my parent listed as a dependent. I ...
