Re: How long does it take to get the first time passport application?

Had a slightly useful call with the passport office around the delay in my application. The only notes she can see is that they have asked "an embassy" to verify the birth certificate and are waiting on a reply. Didn't say if it was an Irish embassy that serves my home country or my home country's ...

Re: How long does it take to get the first time passport application?

I'm an Ireland-based naturalisation applicant and I'm 16 days over the estimated issue date with no updates and no support from customer service. Seeing on Reddit an FBR application from Jan 31st got the passport printed on March 24th. Another one is a Feb 5th application and went printing on March ...

Re: How long does it take to get the first time passport application?

10 days after the estimated issue date and no update. The chat and calls just say an agent has been assigned to my application but they can’t comment on anything or escalate it further. Feels endless and pointless. Have a read of pages. 13,14 and 15. There are three people on there with the names. ...

Re: How long does it take to get the first time passport application?

How accurate is the tracking information? About our application, all it states is 'Application received 28/01/25' - 'Issue Date 5/03/25'. There is no other information (the tracking bar has remained static) Should we be worried? It updates when there is a significant event. The tracking bar will ...

Re: How long does it take to get the first time passport application?

Is it normal to be stuck at this stage for 2+ weeks please: "Processing application: We have received your supporting documents. We are now verifying these documents." Since two weeks it still didn't move to "Processing application: Your application is being processed" Also, the date of "We have ...

Re: How long does it take to get the first time passport application?

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

For those posting FROM the UK. I had an odd issue with posting documents from the UK to Ireland for my Passport after FBR - it seems that Royal Mail (RM) give out wrong information, and do not flag documents as needing a customs declaration (a CN22) - this can cause Irish customs to reject the ...

Re: How long does it take to get the first time passport application?

Had a few problems getting the online photograph to upload. So just a heads up for anybody else who struggles in the future. I tried to upload from a web based email browser. (icloud) For some reason, when I saved it to the desktop, it seemed to alter it and would never accept it, . even though the ...

Thought I’d give everyone an update on what seemed to me that took a life time. Application online date: 28 Sep 2023 Posted: Late Oct 2023 (had issues with delivery where it was rejected at Irish customs and returned to the UK, Royal Mail resent it and it was delivered about 3 weeks later. ...
