Dependent Citizensahip

I am a naturalised British citizen. Got my citizenship March 2025. My husband just applied for his ILR via SET (O). Once he gets his ILR, can he immediately apply for citizenship and not wait 1 year?

Dependent ILR

Hi everyone.

We are in the process of applying for my husband's ILR. On the question asking

"What is Mrs __________ (me)'s country of nationality?" Do I say British citizen as I am now a naturalised British or do I put my nationality at birth?

Thank you!

Try calling their helpline. The bank holiday weekend may have slowed down the mail.
They received my documents on the 2nd of May. But they keep telling me they have not been scanned yet. I will try calling them, maybe they will be more helpful.

Re: Naturalisation Certificate Name at birth

Is it your national birth certificate which is "wrong"? That wouldn't matter - you don't need to produce your birth certificate for a British passport. No Basically my maiden name is DO RE MI My married name is DO MI FA (This is reflecring on my current passport and main name on naturalisation ...

Re: Naturalisation Certificate Name at birth

Yes. The current certificate doesn't match your passport so you wouldn't be able to get a UK passport. As it was their mistake you can request a replacement free of charge. Sorry. The main name on naturalisation certificate does match my passport. It's the name at birth if different that is missing ...

What name did you use when you applied? Name at birth doesn't matter if you changed it (eg via marriage).
I used my married name on my application. It's the same name on my current passport and main name on the naturalisation certificate.

Hi! I am applying for my first UK passport. The name at birth if different section of my naturalisation is missing my middle name. This is my maiden name. example: AAA BBB CCC. On the certificate it only shows AAA CCC The name itself is correct which is my married name AAA CCC DDD. And matches my ...
