Ireland is a small country so they have smaller amount of applications as well a fraction of US,Canada,Australia,UK applications. If they dont want to give out Passports easily to applicants they should tell them the truth. It is a kind of torture. 23 months is not true, they should say 3 to 4 years ...

They are actually telling the truth as I called them yesterday and they said they are processing middle of October. Good luck mate!

is it?..maybe you are married and if they will give you citizenship, they think your wife will get stamp 4 and can work here so they delay it or maybe im just paranoid... just wondering cause im married too. is anybody here same situation? thanks

hi if you lost your previous passports and have all the photocopy can you use it to apply for WCATT?

are they trying to delay the process? I dont know... but I think if I have stamp 4 and the qualifications I got I might help build up the economy again hehehe ( getting better job or business = more tax )

Just to let you guys know, I called yesterday 12:00 nn after 10 minutes nice lady answered phone. she said my application is new they will keep me posted if there something new. forwarded some documents with letter for a change of address a week before. applied Feb 2008 confirmation letter recieved ...

getting refused LTR is not the end of the world

I applied already last year Jan 2008, I contacted them 3 weeks ago and they are processing sept 2007.

but funny thing is I have a friend who applied sept 2007 and still no contact from them. Mabe after few days I hope.

im afraid they might just find anything to refuse anyone now because of economic climate?

so if I get stamp 4 (work permit for 5 years) and if I want to do business Ill have to apply for business permit.

but will I go back to stamp 1? If thats the case, then they dont encourage people who worked here for more than five years to set up their own business..

so stamp 4 due to 5 years work permit cant set up business then.

If I get my stamp 4 and if I want to do business I have to apply again for business permit and back to stamp 1???
