Don't want to submit passport

Helo everyone, I have a question .

Is it possible that I don't submit passport for my spouse settlement visa. Actually have some holiday plans , but with visa application, the passport is held back for minimum 3 months

Any advice/suggestion please thanks

You are only able to request to have the visa start date deferred for a maximum of 3 months. Do bear in mind that the UKVI don't always issue the visa on a requested date. Also. you no longer have the option of entering within 3 months of the visa issue date, as the applicant MUST enter the UK ...

hi all, not sure where to get info from .. but what will happen to couples living outside uk??

does that mean the husband or the wife have to first move back to UK alone, start earning and only then apply for spouse visa ??
