Yes!!! it's truth! I know two fellows who have been naturalized in September 2010! Both of them applied in 2007.

Please spare the nonsense of "HEAVY" backlog of cases....only 18k apps is not a heavy backlog of cases. put it to you this way....950 quids each to be made out of those 18k application thats 17.1 mill to be made (you can argue few to be bogus, few for refugees who dont pay but still big enough ...

neo725, you don't have to get LTR in order to be granted naturalisation or to apply for LTR for that matter. because not all people are eligible for LTR, but most are eligible for naturalisation... Well I kind of know that-just wondering if Someone had skipped paying Fees for LTR and in the same ...

hi,
I am still waiting :)
They only requested copies of my up-to-date stamp 4( for one year one) and Visa. But I posted the copy of my last registration card too.

that can take years :) the new bill was due to be finalised and passed by the dail at the end of 2008... enough said... yes, the new bill proposes that the dependants be given stamp 4 as well. but there will be social welfare checks, and garda checks, as well as checking english (or irish) language ...

New doc. requested June 2010
I would suggest to send them copies of yours up-to-date Stamp 1 or 4 and Visa because they do require your registration to be up-to-date.

Its frustrating, very sad & disappointing but there is nothing you can do about that
its well-known that the Irish passport is the most difficult to get one
