Misspelt Place of Birth and Thank you

Firstly, I want to say a fantastic thank you to everyone on Immigration Boards that helped me on my long, almost 7 years, journey through two applications of Tier 1 visas, ILR, including a premium upgrade and finally naturalisation and citizenship. To hold a British passport and be a citizen of this ...

Re: Biometrics when outside the UK

Thanks alterhase Just want to bump this and update. I did my Biometrics yesterday (Tues 11/07/17), my wife is still in SA. The guy, who seemed knowledgeable, allayed my fears, saying UKVI could take 21 days to return an email, which I sent Monday 03/07/17, and that I would be okay (i.e. they wouldn ...

Re: English requirement - ILR. Confusing suggestions - URGEN

It was a few weeks ago. I have read on these forums that there is no requirement for acceptance of point based and as said above it is now closed, so may be difficult to get anyway.
Would recommend ticking the boxes on the form as necessary, however painful and expensive it may be.

Re: English requirement - ILR. Confusing suggestions - URGEN

I know a friend who got his using the printout from Points Based System. Also Degree outside of UK. No NARIC or any tests. As per the guidance, I dont think this is mentioned as proof of English, so I would probably make sure I had what they requested, but I agree, it is expensive and time consuming ...

Re: ILR postal applications (excluding SET(LR))

I had to take a my degrees for the purposes of English Language proficiency. I do not understand all the requirements in this regard, but was told this would be useful.
I did not see a caseworker, except for showing my degrees for me and my wife.
I did not give Biometrics again.

Does anyone have a link to the Pre April 2016 Set (o) form? The English requirement has changed significantly and I need to show that it was different on the last instance.

Did you try upgrading your postal application to premium? Seems like there is an option now as per new UKBA statement. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/premium-visa-upgrade-request-form In that form there is section to specify why you need the documents, guess you have to pay the ...

Has anyone requested the Return of their passport for Identification purposes? I have a few questions if anyone has any information. How long did it take to get to you? HO stipulates 10 days, I need it in exactly that amount of time. Did you receive an communication before it was returned? Do you ...

Hey. I have just requested my passport returns on the website.
I would like to know though, how did you get the case worker information? Everytime I have phoned they are not very forthcoming at all.

Re: Return of passport

I also require my passport for identification purposes. I spoke to the HO and they confirmed that a passport can be returned within 10 working days for ID purposes, the case worker will then request the passport back when necessary. You can find the website to request return by searching the gov.uk ...
