Do I need to send my passport with my application for my wife or will a copy of the bio page and visa be fine?

I got my visa and I want to apply for my wife. Does she need to pass any english language requirements? Has anyone from South Africa applied for a dependant visa and what docs did u send?

I applied in December at VFS Pretoria and my status is the same as yours.
Did you get an email from UK Embassy about the delay in process of Tier 1 visas?

An earlier application was rejected. I reapplied and got the letter.
