Hi all, got my approval yesterday. Applied in Dec 2009, got my ref number in Jan 2010, on basis of 5 years residence. All the best to all still waiting.

I for applied for WCATT on 1st of Nov last year and was waiting over 3 month to get it (mid Feb '11). Then I had to reapply for renewal in the early May, reason- new passport. And again was waiting to get it back, until mid July. Mind, it was for renewal! Don't know what way they operate in WCATT ...

Went to INIS last Monday to renew my Stamp 5 Green Card. Officer behind the desk was talkative enough, he asked me did I apply for the Citizenship. I told him a year a half ago approx. And then he started complaining, saying they don't have enough resources and actually have reduced number of staff ...

the only way to do this by employing people from other countries. :D I think they should employ us, aspiring new Irish citizens, to speed up the process. After all we know the system from "inside". :mrgreen: Seriously now, this situation reminds me a bit to the situation with traffic jams in Dublin ...

Not sure I can agree with you, Irish Pharoe. My understanding of this is that INIS will finish with review of its processing procedures by March 2011. The result of that review should be improved service to its costumers (us), demonstrated in speedier decision making, increased processing of cases ...

Just an update, INIS received my passport on 15th of Nov, still no news. If taking 2 weeks of hols into consideration as not working time, it is full 8 weeks of waiting time today... :( Anyone else in similar situation? Or anybody getting their WCATT recently? Just to get an idea of REAL waiting ...

Marisa, did you contact INIS regarding that? According to their website the waiting time is 40 working days.

Anybody else with this kind of problem (waiting for WCATT more than 40 working days)?
They received my passport on 15th of Nov, will keep you posted.
