Request a ceremony outside the UK If you’re not living in the UK, you can ask to have your ceremony at the embassy or consulate in the country you’re living in. Bad idea if you are not the spouse nor civil partner of a British citizen, as your future intentions would be in doubt. Thanks for the lin ...
Thank you for the informative reply mrgs1
Its a bit intriguing - does this mean one could ask for a ceremony abroad as a matter of right?
Or will a ceremony will be held in the country you re living in ONLY if you prove that you dont intend to stay away from the UK for long?
I have nt even bothered to look if this question was asked previously, since it is so off the beaten track. :D How many months / years of delay in attending the ceremony is acceptable, if we give notice? This can happen, if due to some pressing reasons, I am stuck abroad after giving biometrics etc ...

For T1G dependent to ILR - application should my sponsor show evidence of income and / or other evidence of work ( for T1G dependent to ILR in general )? And what level of evidence is necessary - is there any minimum criteria? This may sound like a silly question, but any advise from seniors would ...
I lost my passport and am going from T1G dependent to ILR - application date is next week! Hence, dont have evidence for dates outside UK! Is a Statutory Declaration / affidavit regarding absences enough? Also, should my sponsor show evidence of income and / or other evidence of work ( for T1G ...
SERCO has its own immigration website. The more you google for details, the more you come up with interesting links about its role in immgration. How can a company based in UK that too specialising in border control not be involved in UK immigration? Why do people who dont even know about this ...
It controls not only immigration, but even air traffic control and nuclear missiles for many countries. Like East India Company, it is multi national, and probably a front for the old East India Company. UKVI is most likely only a name for the front for massive operations around the world. Details ...
Who really owns UKVI which controls immigration?
All the Govt contracts, go straight to SERCO, the largest company in the world, that operates in secret.
They are the old 'East India Company', resurrected once again
Vinny, thank you for your reply.
However, what are the requirements for son above 21 to be given a residence permit? Is it easy to apply for, and get, one?
Which country / ies in your opinion accept this without difficulty? And would, say, three quarters of all applicants, be successful?
I am on Tier I visa, and expecting to get PR in the UK in the next few years.
My son is 21 and could not get UK visa. I would be grateful if anyone could advise me if I can bring my son over through the EEA route.
Dear O_Relly, Thanks for the confident reply! This makes a lot of difference for tax purposes. If I am allowed to show the income I have earned for my company ( instead of showing income plus dividend from the company ), then I could make my wife a company shareholder, and thus save tax - as is done ...
I have applied for two T1 G extensions before. The first time, I showed only income that I had earned for the company in the said period. They were shown as 'profits in the company', but I did not withdraw it to show as 'dividend' and so saved tax. Two years later, the second time, on someone ...
However, the link you have provided does not mention anywhere about switching from one category to another. It only discusses absences for the purpose of calculation.
What happens to ILR criteria is someone switches, from a Tier I entrepreneur visa ( where 5 years continous is not needed ) to Tier 2 ( where 5 years continous is needed )? The only refusal criteria are: convictions which had led to a sentence of imprisonment of 4 years or more; (there is no amnesty ...
in my opinion 5y will counted on single route either it will be T1E or T2(work permit) cant be mix of both. The only refusal criteria are: convictions which had led to a sentence of imprisonment of 4 years or more; (there is no amnesty period under this sub-paragraph) convictions which had led to a ...
