ILR - Oct 2012 Application

Our Timeline is as follows: We tried for weeks to get an appointment but eventually had to post the applications. I travel extensively for work and I have been taking serious flack for not being able to travel for so long. 2 X Set (O) applications (here on Ancestry Visa) with my son who was a 15 yr ...

No, my husband applied for his own Ancestry Visa and I applied on my own as we both had UK Grandparents and I knew I wanted to apply for citizenship when we got here.

I was reading through posts about the SET (F) and wondered if it applied to my son? The guide was quite confusing though

Oh thank you! I was so worried that he would have to return to SA! My husband is extending his soon so we will do it together. I actually applied for (and got) citizenship by descent after we arrived here as my mother was born here. Can I apply for ILR for my son under Set (F). He is living at home ...

The Ancestry Visa for all of us expires 31.10.2012. We arrived in the UK 27.12.2007 (we didn't think the Visa would be approved so quickly!) so we have to extend the Ancestry Visa first before we can apply for ILR.

Ancestry Visa - Dependant now over 18

My son was 15 when we came to the UK on an Ancestry Visa. The Visa expires 31.10.2012 but we will be here 5 years only on 27.12.2012. I believe he can't extend his as he is over 18.

What do we do to keep in in the UK?

They were born in SA. Their father is in the UK but not settled (he has an Ancestry Visa) but we are separated.

MN1 Application

I am a British Citizen by Descent and have lived in the UK with my children (13 and 15) for just over 3 years. I want to apply for citizenship for them using form MN1. Do I need to apply for ILR first?

Indefinite Leave to Remain for My Children

I have had conflicting advice so I'm hoping somebody here will know... I came to the UK in Dec 2007 on an Ancestry Visa and my 3 children were on my Visa application. My husband came at the same time but he applied for his own Ancestry Visa through his Grandfather. I have since obtained Citizenship ...
