In order to naturalise as an Irish Citizen, you must be living in this State (ie 26 counties) for 5 years, including 1 year continous. Bulgaria joined EU in January 2007. So any Bulgarian national can't aquire PR status before 1st January 2012 (5 years of exercising Treaty Rights). Then you need to hold PR status for at least 12 months before the date of application for British Citizenship, so 1st January 2013 is the earliest date ...
