Application not sent by checking service - lost passport

I am currently in the process of applying for citizenship through the NCS. I provided all my documentation except my old passport as proof of being in UK as I had lost this passport previously. In order to prove residency I offered to provide council tax bills but these were rejected by NCS who said ...

ILR Success (tier 1 General) - Glasgow 19 Feb 2013

I've had my ILR granted and would like to thank this forum for all the help that was provided. I was particularly anxious given that I recently lost my passport during my Christmas holidays and accordingly did not have my Tier 1 vignette or any of my travel visa stamps. [As a side note I travelled ...

Lost passport (and Tier 1 visa with only 2 months left)

I recently lost my passport (with Tier 1 visa) while travelling. My Tier 1 visa was due to expire at the start of March 2013 after which I am eligible for ILR. Does anyone know whether I need to reapply for a new Tier 1 replacement visa before applying for ILR? I note it will probably take me a few ...

forgot to add: You need the letter from your employer showing that they still require you. the SOC/COP matching your job must be listed in this letter. The sticky posts on this forum have examples of the letters and formats for recording the absences. Without them - you will most likely be rejected ...

ILR application - payslips and time abroad

Hi there, I am a work permit holder applying for ILR. Two questions: 1. I have my appointment in a week's time, and have realised that I am missing payslips from all of 2007 (have no idea where these went!) and 2 months from 2010. I have got P60s for 2007-8, 2008-9, 2009-10 and 2010-11, but this ...

Definitely appreciate the explanations from both of you - just trying to understand all the fine print! Looking at the FAQ pages, I came across this: Q - Does my spouse qualify with me for ILR? A - For old style WP holders and HSMP migrants covered by HSMP JRs, all (adult) dependants qualify for ILR ...

Thanks for the quick reply, Vinny. Checked the link... he is already in the country and has clearance to be here in his own right (different visa). We're just wondering if applying as my dependent when I apply for ILR means that he also gets ILR... If he obtains entry clearance as your work permit ...

ILR for spouse and route to citizenship

Hi, I am on the old system work permit, and will be applying for ILR at the end of this month (form Set O). My husband, who is on a Tier 1 visa, has got another 1+ years to go before he can apply for ILR in his own right. We were thinking of putting him down as a dependent on my ILR application so ...
