Surely if you stayed out for that long, you will not been the 90day period but also the preceding 5year stay in the year.

I think you would have to start the 5year residency clock again after you return

Is this correct Senior members?

Agreed with Booboochoupi - a letter from a friend should do. All the need is evidence that there is sufficient funds and that you will not depend on public funds. Now this proof could be from anybody as long as they have the documentation to show that. So a good letter, bankstatements and payslips ...

I know lots of people who are in the same situation as you and its a difficult one. In responses 1 - Yes - I believe. If you ask for your documents to be returned before the application is decided, then surely you have withdrawn the application and would not be able to apply for PSW as the route is ...

Only asking because we will need 6months bank statements, instead of 3 as for the ILR. Just need to make sure everything is in place. I know its ...

John,

Spoke to HMRC this morning and apparently we do not qualify. You cannot get tax credits if the combined household income is >£26000. the lady was caterogic that i could not recieve the forms and would have to pay the full costs of child care - no tax deductions.
is this correct?

Jay, I am not too sure you will be able to argue that case....its the HO you are dealing with and also it depends on case officer to case officer. This is very useful. I would stick to the start day of the WP. So work permit qualifying period from the 24 July 2007. Five years from this date is 24/07/2012. You can apply for ILR 28yrs to your "five years" date. that means you should be eligible to apply from the 24/07/2012 - 28days = 26th June 2012.

Yes, you can apply for yourself and husband only. After ILR, apply to register children under MN1 if they were born in the UK. Your absences in your student days do not count towards your work permit qualifying period

good luck my friend.
