Re: eea 2 surinder singh please share your experience

They claimed they sent the refusal at first, but he hadn't appealed or left the UK, so they came to the house and took him away. When we received the fax of the refusal there was a few spelling mistakes so I don't know if that contributed to the problem of us not receiving it. They then 4 days later...

Re: eea 2 surinder singh please share your experience

Hi sorry for no reply The home office refused our application but didn't send us a refusal. They then detained my husband because of a outstanding deportation order making his removal imminent. We then after pestering for 4 days and they insisting they sent it, received a copy of it via fax. The hom...

Re: revoking deportation order for spouse

the other posters are correct the new laws came in on Jan 1st making it harder, that's why we actually came back before the 1st of Jan 2014. But that's what we did so I cannot offer experience or advice on revoking a deportation order. Because we never went through with that option.

Re: revoking deportation order for spouse

Hi, It seemed very difficult for me to revoke a deportation order for him without exceptional circumstances which I found out to be exceptional would mean if a family member had a terminal illness or along those lines. But I think you can apply for it to be revoked after 3 years. The home office don...

Hi
I didn't revoke the deportation order. My husband is back in the UK. He came back via the surinder singh route. In which I didn't have to revoke the deportation order.

Re: eea 2 surinder singh please share your experience

We didn't have a EEA family permit either, and no stamp.

Humanity I didn't use my bank account I just purchased a postal order from the post office on the day I sent the application and put it in the package. I thought this was more reliable. In case any problem happened with the bank or something.

Re: eea 2 surinder singh please share your experience

I don't really know tbh. i just thought we can only apply before the 1st Jan else we wont get in. I did move to Ireland and exercise my rights. But husband also has a deportation order from the UK from 2010. So as I gather as we applied before the 1st Jan, we will can appeal and we can re-apply unde...

If we was refused we can only try and appeal. I don't think we can re-apply as we don't qualify under the new regulations.?

When my wife (non-EU) applied for her PPS number she only needed her passport and marriage certificate. Since she had no bills in her name I signed an afidavit that we live together. That was sufficient at the office we attended. I guess you attended the PPS office with your husband, because that m...

I have done a bit of research and i think they are right to demand two forms of ID's. If you are not Irish, you will need to produce the following documents: For EU/EEA citizen - Your passport or national identity card For Non EU/EEA citizen - Your passport and immigration card (GNIB card) And Evid...

I never heard this stupid thing of two forms of ID's. I personally went with my wife last week here in Dublin to the PPS office and only showed her Passport and a utility bill showing her name on it and she got the PPS number. Try to go again to the PPS office and see a different person. I agree it...

Sarah, the two forms of ID the previous poster was referring to was to be either a passport or any other government photographic ID , and a letter from your landlord confirming that he lives at the property. This is what we presented, they will not accept, they want two forms Of photo i.d, or a gni...

Hi my husband has just got his visa to Ireland from Germany.
Can anyone advise me on the situation of him being allowed to work in Ireland before he gets the permit.
I reading a lot of mixed things regarding this. When he got his schengen visa he was allowed to work.
