1. Whenever you wish until the child is 18. 2. Should be fine. 3. Correct. No affect. Many thanks for your valuable inputs Jambo. Just got one more question: How soon I can apply for naturalization? I got my ILR on 01 May 2013. Do I need to wait exactly 1 year. Or it is possible to apply 28 days ...

Post-ILR questions - Pls Help

I recenty got ILR (01 May 2013) and have some questions regarding my UK born son for registration. Before ILR, I was on Tier 1 (General) and my son was my dependent. He was not included in the ILR application - based on the understanding that I can register him directly as a british citizen. With ...

I think this question was posted earlier as well. If someone left the UK on Friday evening and returned on Sunday evening. In this case, it would be interesting to know what kind of evidence UKBA would like to see. No employer would confirm this absence. Or UKBA wont ask us for provide evidence this ...

I support all your arguments but I think the reasons I have stated in my previous post, the policy seems fine. They are trying to track out of UK holidays DURING your work-related leaves so that they can add it to the ILR absence period. Thats my optimistic understanding as well. I am also trying ...

may be with those confusing words, UKBA is trying to ask the record of paid annual leave in a scenario:
if someone was assigned outside the UK for some time and he/she took personal holidays during that assignment in that country?

Re: got answer

I agree the official wording is very confusing. my understanding is "paid annual leave" is always personal. It can't be work related, isn't it? Did you ask about the work related or personal holidays? I don't think any paid leave comes under 'work-related' absences comment that they have given in ...

Re: got answer

Is that right, we have to show the record of even those paid annual leaves spent within the UK? I often found that these so called "telephone advisors" are not very helpful. Their understanding of UKBA rules is less than satisfactory (you may think I am very polite!). Please keep us posted, if you ...

Dear All, Many thanks for the info. Appreciate ur time & care in telling me about the required docs. I left my WP employer (with good terms of course) after securing Tier 1. Probably I can ask them to issue me a letter to cover the period. But would that be enough? I dont have the complete sequence ...

WP + Tier 1-- docs to support time spent as WP holder

Hi Guys, I am completing my 5 years residence condition for ILR next month as per the following: April 2008 to Aug 2009 ===> work permit (NOT Tier 2) Aug 2009 to April 2013 ===> Tier 1 General I am not fully sure about required documents to support my time spent as work permit holder. I guess UKBA ...
