One more thing that I'd like to share. I work with IT and as a contractor, with a daily rate. I currently use an Umbrella company for my payments. When we were first looking at the EEA2 form, I was in doubt if I should use the self employment or the employed section. I decided to fill the employed ...

I am the EEA citizen (Italy) and my wife, from Brazil, requested the EEA2 residence card. Application sent on the 10th/December/2012. Received by UKBA on the next day, 11th/December/2012. In the proof of delivery from Royal Mail, someone named "Nat" signed for it. Here's the image: http://tinypic ...

Thanks John.

So wherever it's asked in the form about my employer, I should point to the Umbrella, is that right?

Will the Umbrella give me the letter signed and dated, stating that I'm employed by them? Is this a common practice?

Thanks

EEA2 - contractor via an Umbrella company

I am an EU citizen and I'd like to sponsor my wife's residence card. When we arrive in the UK I'll be working as a contractor, in a 9-month contract via an Umbrella company. How should I fill my EEA2 form? Should I use the "Employment" section? Or the "self employed" section? I think I won't be able ...

Thank you, Jambo.

In practice, what do they request as a proof of self employment? What makes it hard?

I'm expecting to have a contract already signed when I arrive (between my Limited Co and the Client Co).

Thanks

Spouse of EEA citizen who is a shareholder of a Limited comp

Hi there, I am an EEA citizen currently living outside the UK and returning to the UK with my wife (non-EEA citizen) in a couple of months. My wife has an EEA Family Permit on her passport, valid for 6 months. When I arrive I am planning to set up my own Limited company, and start trading as a ...

Casa, thank you.

Is there any official communication about this matter (EEA's and the new rules)? The documents that I read weren't very clear about it.

Sorry if my question has already been answered - I couldn't find this information anywhere. Do the new rules (9/July/2012) affect spouses of EEA citizens who wish to apply for a Residence Card? For example, a south american wife of an Italian citizen who would like to apply for a Residence Card ...
