Dear Moderators, I am trying to help a friend of mine and we are trying to establish if she is eligible for HSMP or not. Your opinion / feedback will be highly valuable. The following are some of the details: She is 24 years old and has done Graduation from George Mason University, USA. Arrived from ...

Marco, A slight diversion from the main topic. Since you are already on ILR, for your childeren (if you have any or will have in future), will you be entitled to the UK Citizen tution fees or you be required to pay the higher fee. In one of the posts I did read that if one of the parent is on ILR ...

Hi Denebolina, I myself am on an HSMP visa in UK. So for your fiancee, my suggestion would be to go via Spouse route or Non-EEA route. He will get an ILR alot faster and his visa is unconditional. On HSMP, the scheme is constantly evolving and nobody knows when they will change it to what. The ...

Marco / Paul,

Thanks alot for all your suggestions. I probably might need your help when we get down to filling his EEA3 form. I guess my boyfriend will need to go through all his files to get all the papers for past 5 years.

Regards,

Paul/Marco, Thanks for your responses, but I have one more question: If I go the EEA Family permit route, is it 5 years from the time I lived in UK or 5 years from the time they stamped the permit? I did go through the application form (EEA4) and the impression I got is that to get the ILR, my EEA ...

EU National marrying Indian Citzen on HSMP Visa-Both in UK

Hi Folks, I am looking for some advice either from the moderators or from other members in the forum. The following are my case details: I came to UK on 5th January 2005 on an HSMP visa valid for one year. Towards the end of one year, I applied for my FLR and got the extention valid till Nov 2008 to ...

Hey Kitkatgirl, From your previous post, I understand you would have already sent your passport to HSMP team and got it back. Just wondering if the HSMP guys came up with any solution or did they make you extend your FLR and go for your ILR when you complete 4 years from your date of entry. Would be ...

Hi There!!! Although I am not due for ILR till 2008, I had an interesting chat with the HSMP Customer Service when I was applying for my FLR. To give you a brief background on my case, my HSMP stamp was dated 25 November 2004. I landed in UK on 6 January 2005. My one year visa was due to expire on ...

Hi Developer,

My suggestion would be to mention it in your cover letter and send the ones you have. If I am not mistaken, the Workpermit guys are more keen to establish that you are currently employed rather than for how long.

Hope this helps.

That is strange as I called them up end September and my visa is expiring on 24 November 2005. The lady told me to send it and I have sent it on October 6 2005.

Try calling one more time and see what they have to say.

Hope this helps.

Hi Guys!!!

Here is a question for all those who applied for their extention and had organised for a prepaid next day delivery envelope.

Did the HO guys use it or do they follow their own proccedure and mail as regular mail??

Look forward to a reply from one of you.

Try to speak to the person and understand clearly why they rejected your case. That way whatever documentation you ...

MWazir,

Would it be safe to assume that in the first year of HSMP one can take up an assignment that calls for frequent travel outside UK but gets paid in UK and is also Taxed in UK.

In such a scenario, one can try and convince HO for the extention.

As long as it is just an appeal, just send them the explanatory note. You don't need to send documents as they scan them at their end and keep it.

Hi KT, Sorry for the dealy in my response. Was too busy with packing and stuff. OK, here is what I believe. Though there is no ultimate word for it as nothing is mentioned anywhere official. To begin with, we can make an appeal even if the 28 day limit has been crossed. This I got to know from the ...
