Re: Returning to UK after more than 2 years absence

Thank you for your reply noajthan.

I am more interested to know if I would be asked any questions at the moment of entry in the uk because after this there are other things to consider.

Best wishes!

Hello,

Thanks for reply!

The Embassy staff told me it would take 3 months, verbally and written.

I do have an entry visa for France.

Would you know where it is best to appear? UKBA Paris or Calais?

Best regards,

Thanks for reply!

Yes I am already married with my partner and have presented all evidence at Embassy.

Now my partner is in UK working.

We are planning to live and work there together but this Embassy decision seems to be taking forever.

Best regards,

Thanks for reply!

I think they mentioned that retrieving docs shouldnt be longer than 3 days.

I just worried that UKBA will send me back to Embassy. Is there any chance of this happening or are they obliged to make a decision there?

Best regards,

I can prove identity

But I do have a national passport which I have used throughout the Schengen zone in last few years. And I dont really need to discuss my past in the UK at the border I think. Thanks for answer Jambo!

Im a visa national but only for the UK as I can travel in the Schengen zone, benefiting from the visa liberalization that was given to certain countries at the edge of EU.

Do you suggest I skip the Embassy application altogether?

Thanks!

Dear forum members, I applied for protection in UK at the age of 15 under a different name. I was given permission to stay until the age of 18 and then given a ticket to return. However, I stayed a few more years and then decided to return to home country with a passport issued under my real name ...
