Exemption from KOLL in case ILR received after 28.10.13

I received ILR in Dec 2013, and I think at that time the requirement for KOLL (the new rules) was - to have passed life in UK test and - to have a degree equivalent to UK batchelors degree I need to apply for citizenship now, and reading the latest KOLL requirements, it looks like you need to -pass ...

Thanks Amber. I am applying now through the NCS, but that will take 4-6 weeks. and i need to travel with him in Jan. Is there any specific provision on which your reply is based? or has someone practically done this? I just want to be sure before going out of the UK with my son.

uk born son - dependent tier 1 visa; main applicant gets ilr

I have a son who was born in the UK 1.5 years ago. At the time he was born, me and my spouse were on tier 1 visa. Since we wanted our son to travel, we applied for his tier 1 dependent visa (which is valid till august 2014). I recently completed 5 years stay in the UK and both me and my spouse ...

Unfortunately we pay exorbitant fee for such pathetic service where there us no system ...

It is for the proof of change in surname (for the woman). If you have another doc to support that, or if there hasn't been any change in surname on marriage then you need not submit

Parking at Croydon/ newborn apptmt

Is there a convenient car park at PEO Croydon? Is it walking distance from Lunar house and how much does it cost per hour?

For a PEO appointment for a dependent application of newborn, will they allow mother n father both. Or will they only allow one person to go in with the baby?

Thanks

Ackn letter

I really doubt they will issue a letter. Just FYI, ack letters are issued by Durham, the agency which takes the payment, whereas the visas are processed by Sheffield. You can give it a shot by writing to them, but it is very unlikely. Alternatively you can give your wife's employer the Contact ...

Ukba

Their number is on the website under contact us 0870... U will basically be asked to wait and no one will give you status. There is no email address. At the most you can write to them at the sheffield address that was mentioned on the biometric letter. At the moment ukba is processing applications ...

Newborn

Your son can never be illegal in the UK because he is born here. In fact he doesnt even need a uk visa if he doesn't travel outside the uk. The visa is important only if he travels and then wants to enter the uk. So not to worry.

Hi there I am on tier 1 visa, and my extension application is currently pending with the UKBA (biometric done on 22 June). I now have a new born baby, for whom I want to apply for tier 1 extention, however, i do not have his Indian passport yet - this is because in order to apply for his passport at ...

Its possible that it has been cancelled in spite of the technical message. I tried to reschedule mine and got a similar message, but then i also got an email with the new rescheduled date.
Best to call 0870 number to confirm.

I think ukba is having a backlog of applications at the moment. You should be able to get an appointment exactly 42 days from the day you try. All you need to do is login at 2358 and then keep trying. Lost

In case of lost passport/visa you should not need to apply for a new visa. I think your friend should contact the indian passport office for reissuance of lost passport and contact the British High commision for the tier 1 - they should have the details and should be able to guide him/ reissuee lost ...
