Tier 2 Visa and Business Account

A quick question to dear forum members. I am not sure if anyone of you knows the answer. I am a Tier 2 Visa Holder. Am I allowed to open up a Treasures Bank Account (it is classed as a Business Account) for a non-profit, not for business local community that I am part of. There is no work or payment ...

Re: Tier 2 Work for old employer

Thanks CR001. I thought as much. Does that mean my old employer will have to do the RLMT right?

Tier 2 Work for old employer

Hi All,

I have applied for a new job and completed the Visa application and have received green light from the HO. I haven't received my BRP yet (went for 1 day appointment).

But, now my old employer doesn't want to let me go. Is there anyway to reverse the whole process?

Thanks

Re: Different route for settlement?

If you apply for ILR based on 10 years long residence, your spouse is unable to apply for ILR as a PBS dependent and must switch to flr(m), which will reset her 5 year clock for ILR to zero. Note it does not reset the clock for 10 years LR. Flr(m) route will be 2 x 2.5 year visas and she must meet ...

Re: Legal Challenge against Home Office Tier 2, Tier 1 etc.

Not sure if I would agree on the neutral cost to taxpayer aspect. Application fees for certain categories do seem to be yielding hefty profits to the UKVI https://www.freemovement.org.uk/another-massive-increase-immigration-nationality-application-fees-2017-18/ Nevertheless, it is the migrants ...

Different route for settlement?

Dear Members, We are in a predicament. I hope someone can answer this. I will be completing 5yrs on Tier2 Visa next year, at the same time I will be completing 10yrs continuous residence as well. Meanwhile, my wife will also fulfil 5yrs as my Tier2 dependant, overall she will be completing 7 years ...

Re: Legal Challenge against Home Office Tier 2, Tier 1 etc.

This is not about fraudsters tricksters cheaters etc. Its about honest tax paying, law abiding, highly skilled migrants who contribute a lot to the UK economy. It is unfair to "punish" honest migrants - so are you saying these honest migrants should be held responsible for all the criminals in the ...

Legal Challenge against Home Office Tier 2, Tier 1 etc.

Dear All, I am sure there are many of us who are in a same situation. I'm proposing to legally challenge the "atrocities" of UKVI - the never ending exorbitant visa fee increases, NHS surcharges and £35k requirement for ILR etc. We people who are on Tier 2 pay all the taxes, NI etc, never claim a ...

Hello,

How did your extension go? Did you change your Work Start Date? Can the work start date be before the current work end date?

Thanks

Tier 2 Visa and KiddiVouchers

Dear All, I am on Tier 2 Visa and I have recently become a dad. My employer very recently started a scheme called kiddivouchers. In this you get child care vouchers in lieu for salary sacrifice. I would like to get these child care vouchers since it will be a great savings. My question is:- 1. Can ...

Hi Everyone, I was about to update this thread soon. Yes, we reapplied again and got the Visa this time. They got the visa last week. :) This is what we did, I hope it will help someone. Re: Family Visitor Visa Refused. Administrative Review?

property ownership documents do not demonstrate your financial ties with your home country . This is just outright stupid. What else do they require to prove financial ties? Do they only grant visas to Billionaires? All he/she wanted to see is regular income which I couldn't demonstrate because my ...

Re: Family Visitor Visa Refused. Administrative Review?

I am on the same boat, parents' visa refused yesterday. I am thinking to re-apply visit visa for my mother only. But still unsure how to justify why my father is no longer willing to travel to UK. We have decided to reapply for both. After some research I found that it will help if we keep a ...

Re: Family Visitor Visa Refused. Administrative Review?

Don't think there's any quotas, best to keep things simple especially for the first few, short visits, leave no chance of anything being misconstrued or causing raised eyebrows. I agree above that 5 months is a long time, along with a kid on the way, does give the ECO something to get his teeth ...

Re: Family Visitor Visa Refused. Administrative Review?

Probably makes it worse as the ECO could see that as a visa for an unpaid nanny...... Interesting... I have heard multiple conflicting arguments regarding this. Some say don't say that they are visiting their pregnant daughter. Yet other opine that it is good to say so. I have literally just spoken ...

Thanks CR001,

That is what I am going to do. One more question. My wife is pregnant. Will it help if we say that the parents are coming for moral support?

Thanks.

Re: Family Visitor Visa Refused. Administrative Review?

Update.

I spoke to a solicitor here and he says we can go for an Administrative Review. But I can't find any information on Administrative Review for Visitor Visa refusals.

Is it true that we can go for Administrative Review?

Can anyone with experience/knowledge advise?

Thanks.

Re: Family Visitor Visa Refused. Administrative Review?

Thank you CR001 for your prompt reply. Did they provide their bank statements to prove the 'other' income? Family Visitor Visa Refused. Administrative Review?

Dear All, Once again gutted with immigration rules of UK. We had applied for the wife's parents to come to the UK as a family visitor. Unfortunately the visa was refused. From what I can see it was refused because the officer felt that they would not return back to India. I believe that we submitted ...
