I think you are missing my point: Immigrants pay more taxes - everyone pays same amount for each tax they pay - but some people (eg: immigrants) pay more taxes, Brits may pay 5-6 taxes, an immigrant with same earning levels may pay 7-8 taxes Hence the difference in taxation Ok .... got you.... more ...

If you have your passport/s with all the in and out stamps which proves that you are in the country (lawfully) than that is sufficient to prove you lawful residence criteria.... you might have to produce a letter from employer only if you don't have this...

But most importantly - we pay in taxes: as immigrants some of us pay 2x if not 3x more taxes than our fellow British fellows, Why do we pay 2 times or 3 times more than the other British citizens I think its all same income tax or council tax (depending on the slab of course) for British Citizens ...

I've spent my credit cards, overdrafts and also got loan from bank but pay monthly instalments and never missed any payment (My dept to bank is about £12000) I'm not bankrupted and never had ccj or anything from court. Yeah I followed that thread Noajthan... but the check (working more than 20hrs) wasn't done as a part of the Naturalisation application... It came to light because of the previous rejection ... May be I should have been clearer in my question is there a case where people got rejected due to working ...
