If I request the return of my documents without ticking the cancel process box will the process be automatically cancelled if I leave the country?

I do not know why I have not received a biometric letter. I have had only one piece of correspondence since submitting my application and that was notification that my app had been received.

Thanks for that. Yes we intend to leave pretty soon after. Is it my responsibilty to communicate the abscence of required visa to my employer? Or will the UKBA do that for me?

Are you saying that I will be forced to leave as soon as my documents are returned?

I know thats what it says but the website also says I was going to get my application back within 6 weeks and that hasnt happened so is the 20 days reliable?
