After talking to a couple of lawyers and being told the chances of getting the visa application through is quite slim we are going off to Thailand and doing a new application there. Nice to get a holiday but not good for my bank balance.

I'm going to get some legal advise on monday, i think she may have a chance as she did actually apply whilst her visa was valid but they said it was invalid as they had increased the price by £10-£15. If we had not applied at all until after it ran out i think she would have had to leave the country.

26 may so it took them 9 months to refuse it!

Yes it was an FLR M, and after we sent it we got the letter to do the Biometrics which she did so i assumed the application was going ok!

We re applied after the first application was returned on 26 th may and got our refusal dated 29 th january.

Wifes leave to remain visa refused

Hi, My wifes leave to remain visa has been refused and it says there is no right to appeal, is this correct? She has had 2 previous leave to remain visas granted but when i applied for this one i used a visa application i had downloaded a couple of months previous not knowing the fees had gone up ...
